County School District. Below you will find a
description of the various ways of getting involved
from one-time projects such as school fairs and
clean-up days to serving as a mentor or tutor on an
on-going basis.

Mentors:
Mentors
are motivators and inspirations, listeners and
counselors, friends and playmates, communicators and
bridge-builders to the students of all Clarke County
schools. Mentors are asked to visit with their
mentee at least one hour a week. To learn more about

Tutors:
Tutors
provide support to the students at Clarke County
Schools during class time and after school programs.
Tutors are asked to make a regular commitment and
are needed in a variety of academic areas. To learn

Interpreters:
Volunteers are needed to serve as
interpreters during parent-teacher conferences and
other family events.
These volunteers help play a key role in ensuring
that information is shared with Spanish-speaking
and other foreign language family members about their students progress and
school information.

Opportunities: The Clarke County

needs to support festivals, clean-up days, and many
other events that help provide a well-rounded
